1. Scope of Service and Disclaimers
The Catering Finder operates strictly as an online directory and discovery platform connecting event hosts ("Users") with independent catering service providers ("Caterers").
- No Agency Relationship
- The Catering Finder is not a booking agent, broker, or insurer. We do not employ, manage, or represent any of the Caterers listed on the platform.
- Independent Contracts
- Any agreement, contract, or payment terms arranged between a User and a Caterer is strictly between those two parties. The Catering Finder is not a party to, and will not be liable for, any performance, non-performance, or breach of contract by either the User or the Caterer.
- No Endorsement
- Listing a business on the platform does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of their services, food safety, pricing, or compliance with local health regulations. Profile information may be incomplete or outdated; you should confirm details directly with the caterer before booking.
2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall The Catering Finder, its founders, or operators be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with:
- Any foodborne illness, allergic reaction, injury, or health hazard resulting from food or services provided by a Caterer found through this platform.
- Any financial loss, property damage, event cancellation, or scheduling delays caused by a Caterer.
- The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the menus, pricing, reviews, or licensing information displayed on any profile.
Users and Caterers agree that they use the platform entirely at their own risk.
For catering professionals
The following terms apply to Caterers who claim, manage, or list a business on the platform.
3. Caterer Accounts and Profile Verification
To manage a profile, update menus, or receive user inquiries, Caterers must register for an account and complete our verification process via the Businesses page.
- Authorized Representation
- By claiming or adding a business listing, you warrant that you are the legal owner or an authorized representative of the business with the authority to bind the entity to these Terms.
- Accuracy of Information
- Caterers are solely responsible for ensuring that all profile data—including pricing, availability, dietary accommodations, health licenses, and contact information—is accurate and up to date.
4. Promotional Period and Lead Generation Policy
- Current Promotional Status
- Access to the platform, profile listings, and receiving client quote requests ("Leads") is currently offered to Caterers completely free of charge during our regional launch phase.
- Future Pay-Per-Lead Model
- The Catering Finder reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify its fee structure and transition into a flat pay-per-lead system or subscription model. Any changes to pricing will be communicated to registered Caterers via email at least thirty (30) days in advance. Continued use of the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
- No Booking Commissions
- The Catering Finder does not process event payments or charge percentage-based commissions on your bookings. All revenue generated from clients belongs 100% to the Caterer.
5. Intellectual Property and Content License
By uploading photos, menus, logos, or descriptions to a profile, the Caterer grants The Catering Finder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, modify, and distribute said content for promotional and operational purposes on the platform.
Caterers warrant that they own the rights to all uploaded media and that it does not infringe upon any third-party copyrights. See Section 6 (DMCA) for takedown procedures.
